The life-cycle of Nintendo’s popular life-simulation title, Animal Crossing, has now entered its second decade. With every year, the studio has rolled out a brand new iteration of the game. Animal Crossing New Horizons is the latest addition to the franchise that refuses to slow down. Much like the games, various events within the title have also seen massive changes over the years.

Events like Festivale, Shamrock day, Halloween, Mario Day, and more. With each event, the title added new special furniture, items, souvenir, and more that players can use to decorate their island. Mario Day is seen as one of the important events that have been featured across the majority of the titles.

However, the follow-up sequel in City Folks (Let’s go to the city) allowed fans to freely acquire the items without serving them as a DLC. Fans could collect these items by shooting down balloons that showed up on the island. Lastly, in New Leaf, the studio offered all the items via fortune cookies, which can be purchased with a special currency earned within the game.
