Through a tweet, the organization said, “here’s an unverified rumor that Advanced Warfare 2 from Sledgehammer is coming in 2025. We cannot confirm this at all, and it also seems unlikely Activision won’t give Treyarch’s 2024 game a 2 year cycle.” However, it seems that the rumors might have reached a dead end, at least for a while.

As reported by Insider Gaming, they exclaimed that their sources were unable to give any additional information on the Sledgehammer Games’ current project. More so, it stated that the project can be subject to change as it is in the early stages.
