Red Dead Redemption 3 Has Been Reportedly Confirmed by Take-Two

Big news for fans waiting for Red Dead Redemption 3. After the monumental success of Red Dead Redemption back in 2010 and RDR2 in 2018, the CEO of Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive has come forward to announce the next sequel in the RDR series.
As gamers wait for GTA 6, Take-Two Interactive surprises them with another big announcement. Rockstar Games plans on continuing their two big franchises into longer series.

The news about Red Dead Redemption 3 was hinted at during an investor meeting held by take-two. In the interview, the CEO, Strauss Zelnick, announced that the game is in the making but will not be released anytime soon.
Zelnick went on to compare his games, like GTA and Red Dead Redemption, to James Bond, stating, “You would like every franchise to be James Bond. There are precious few entertainment franchises of any sort that fall into that category, but they do exist. And I think GTA is one of them, I think Red Dead is one of them…”

Zelnick wants to expand RDR and GTA, both franchise with a legacy that spans decades. He sees the longevity of the franchise Rockstar Created and wants to continue them. While working on a sequel of a reputed game like RDR, he points out how important it is to sense the anticipation and demand before releasing new titles.

Take-Two’s plans on Red Dead Redemption 3’s release dates
Although Zelnick confirmed that Rockstar will be working on a new Red Dead Redemption title, there is no mention of a release date or a time frame by which we can expect the game. Since the announcement of GTA 6 was made prior to RDR 3, fans can expect a new game in the GTA series first.

Although there was an 8-year gap between Red Dead Redemption and its sequel, fans can now only wait for any update on the upcoming release. RDR 2 revolutionized the gaming industry when it launched and we expect nothing less from Rockstar when it comes to any upcoming release.
Rockstar Games is currently pouring their efforts into the development of Grand Theft Auto 6. Considering GTA 6’s expected release in 2024-25. It is safe to say that a new Red Dead Redemption game is likely several years away, with some speculating it might not arrive until the launch of next-gen consoles.
