The deal emerges during a tough period for the company. With the writers’ strike taking place at the moment, the entirety of Hollywood is feeling the effect. Across Warner Bros. Discovery and Turner brands, there have been over 100 layoffs that took place. Moreover, the company needs to pay $49.5 billion in debt. The $500 million from this deal could be a big help to the company.
