We are hearing more news on the latest Call of Duty title with every passing hour. The latest to that list is with regard to cross-generation game mode, which is confirmed for the game as reported by Venturebeat.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will enable players to engage with users on both current-gen and next-gen on multiplayer modes. This necessarily means you could play the game with your friend who owns a PS5, while you are on a PS4. The case is the same for Xbox and PC users as well.

This is the same as Modern Warfare and Warzone. Cold War is also tipped to debut a new map and setting that will replace Warzone but that piece of news is yet to be confirmed. If it does come out true, the system will be the same as well.
