With all this hype going on, there are rumors suggesting that the console would be doing a massive shadow drop in the upcoming months.

Shadow release/drop is a concept where companies release a product, mostly games, as soon as it is revealed to the audience. This is a rather tricky concept, and recent reports suggest that Nintendo is planning something of this scale for one of their games.

According to supposed rumors by Walmart employees, they have been getting promotional material from Nintendo, aiming for the upcoming Nintendo Direct releases. The first is a massive sign for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This can be considered a valid rumor, especially because the game is nearing its release date.

But what is regarded for the shadow drop is Advance Wars 1 and 2 Reboot camp. Yes, one of the most delayed games that have witnessed date change after date change. Advance Wars have witnessed massive delays in release since Nintendo announced the game. It is a turn-based combat game, where players get to use their tactical whims to command an army.

According to the Walmart rumors, the signage that came in for Advance Wars has the title “Available Now”. With no official date of release publically announced and signage supposedly saying “Available Now’, it can be expected to drop at any moment in the upcoming months.

What is the time frame of the release?

As no specific date was mentioned in the signage, it may indicate a very early release. The rumors do not stop there. These suggest that the Walmart employees were asked to put up those signs on February 10. That means, if the news and rumors are true, then players will get to play the Advance Wars within a week!

If so, this would be one of the biggest shadow drops of the year and a big one in regard to Nintendo games. Though, if the sudden release of the game does not garner the needed attention, that is, does not become much profitable, it may change the course of strategy for future releases. If this shadow drop fails, Nintendo will highly likely not involve in shadow drops for a long time.

All these should surely be taken with a pinch of salt, as these are publicized and popular rumors.
