According to recent rumors, one of the best PlayStation exclusive titles, ‘Bloodborne’ sequel is in development at Bluepoint Games. Bluepoint Games is highly known for its popular remakes and remasters of classic PlayStation titles. The company was officially acquired by PlayStation a few days ago on 30th September 2021.

Both the companies have worked together for many years on multiple popular projects. If the latest gossip is to be believed, then players might get this much-awaited sequel announcement soon in the future. Bluepoint Games is often considered the cream on of the crop with some highly successful and beloved remakes. The studio has gained a positive reputation, especially when it comes to PlayStation exclusive remakes. This includes the latest Demon Soul.

Is PlayStation Exclusive Bloodborne 2 on the way?

A techSport report suggests Bluepoint Games is currently working on the remastered version of Bloodborne for PlayStation 5 as well as on the sequel. This rumor partially originated from Colin Moriarty (video game industry writer and Podcaster) when he shared his views on Bluepoint Games on the Scared Symbols podcast. He said, “They’re re-realizing Bloodborne on PlayStation 5, as I understand it, but we are going to get a sequel to Bloodborne, as I have heard, out of them after that.” 

Colin Moriarty also highlighted the point that after the launch of the remastered version, Bluepoint Games will move directly onto the development of the full sequel to ‘Bloodborne’. However, nothing has been officially confirmed by Sony or Bluepoint Games yet. So take this piece of news with a pinch of salt.

Maybe Bluepoint is onto something big or maybe this is just empty speculation. Only Time Will Tell. Although this is just a rumor right now it looks like Bluepoint Games will be the ideal choice to go ahead and release Bloodborne 2.
