The remake of the fan-favorite game created history by breaking a record on Steam, the popular online gaming store. Resident Evil 4 was launched on March 24, 2023. On the very same day, the game etched itself a record. The game on Steam had a whooping concurrent player score of 118,000.

This number is the highest for a game in the Resident Evil franchise. Moreover, the remake accomplishing this on its launch day is a massive achievement for the franchise. Earlier, Resident Evil Village held the record with 106,631 concurrent players.
This massive increase of more than 11k players is a piece of good news for the remake. As the game is quite new, it is expected to grow even further. With time, there is a high probability that the Resident Evil 4 Remake would beat its own record.
The game was well-received by the fans. On Steam, the remake has overwhelmingly positive reviews, with many praising the developers for making the game intriguing and exhilarating.
Though the narrative seems similar, there are some noticeable changes that have been made to the game. And everything looks visually appealing. With time, fans will expect more content in the form of updates for the game.
