The development of the RE9 title started in 2018. There are other leaks as well that claim Capcom is going to announce this anticipated title in 2024. The announcement leads to the release of the game potentially in 2025. If that happens, then RE9 is going to be the longest as far as the development period is concerned.

Fans were relieved to some extent by the remake of the iconic Resident Evil 4. Furthermore, Resident Evil Village also received high acclaim from its players due to its first-person action horror adventure. But both titles failed to quench the thirst of Resident Evil 9. However, fans won’t mind waiting a little further if the title can match the quality of the aforementioned Resident Evil titles.

It’s also expected that gameplay-wise, RE9 will be a mashup of Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake. Resident Evil would feature longtime RE superhero Chris Redfield as the main character. This title could feature Claire Redfield too. Add to that, RE9 could also reintroduce some classic RE characters as well.

Although Ethan Winters’ heroics have ended with Village, we could also see a castle in RE9, exactly like in 4 and Village. Not only Resident Evil 9, but Capcom has also got some serious plans for this iconic horror gaming series, at least up to 2029.

Fans hyped about the quality of Resident Evil 9 in lieu of lengthy development

Despite waiting for the longest for the RE 9, there’s no hint of diminishing fans’ excitement. This enthusiasm was seen in a fan who has immense dedication, as he was ready to wait for more for RE9.

There have been more than 20 Resident Evil titles since 1996, and the contrasting tones throughout the franchise offer multiple possibilities as to how the next game, Resident Evil 9, can proceed. Perhaps this has kept fans on their toes.

Resident Evil 8 rather Village was released in 2021 and the development process of RE9 started in 2018. So a fan speculated on when the RE9’s development began.

After waiting so long, this fan is not going to miss this title at any cost. After all, it was just a few weeks ago that prominent horror leaker Dusk Golem revealed RE9’s potential release in 2025. As per several reports, its release announcement could take place in 2024.

For a long time, there have been several speculations about the game. As per reports, Ethan Winters may not be the protagonist for RE9. Instead, Chris Redfield will take the lead and many people are excited about this.

This fan wants at least 20 hours of gameplay after devoting so many years to waiting for the game.
