Capcom launched Resident Evil Village a couple of years ago. With that game’s launch, they successfully brought back the Resident Evil everyone loved to the modern era. This game was a first-person action horror title that portrayed more horror than action.

The game kept fans of Resident Evil 4 happy while Capcom worked on the remake of that masterpiece. This combination of action and horror assured that Village was a ground-breaking success. And now they have decided to take this series to even more exciting heights.

Resident Evil 4 Remake has been one of the best-selling games in the series. This kind of response always encourages a developer and a publisher. Capcom has been working pretty hard the last few years on these games, and they have reignited interest in them in the hearts of survival horror fans. This fever started with Resident Evil VII, and they are yet to make a game that fans do not like.

Now that they have this remake out of the way, they have decided to continue the series with yet another mainline game in the series. This game would obviously be Resident Evil 9. And a recent leak on Twitter suggests it would be fashioned somewhat like Capcom’s hid VIII in Village. This new game would be called ApocaIXpse.

It would feature longtime superhero Chris Redfield in the main role, and it would be very similar to VIII in terms of gameplay. The leak suggests it has been in development for two years and would feature many recycled assets from RE eight and four. It would also feature Claire Redfield.

It is said to be the last game featuring Chris Redfield, but they are not planning to kill him off yet. The game would feature a castle once again, just like in 4 and VIII and it would start where the last game left off; even though it would not even hint at the previous game in any way. Leon, Ada, Rebecca Chambers, and Barry Burton reportedly would be missing from this game.

The most interesting fact about it is that it would once again feature mythological creatures the way VIII did with werewolves. But they would have some sort of scientific explanation behind it. Zombies would be there too, but partially.

Finally, this game would be revealed in October or November. Yes, this is just too much information. There are chances it would end up being completely fake as well, so it is recommended fans take it with a grain of salt.
