Riot has some bad news for its fans regarding the latest episode of Valorant. On 2nd Nov 2021, Riot Games will release Valorant episode 3, act 3 without a new agent. Valorant always introduces new agents along with the launch of new acts, but this time, things won’t be the same. The new agent will appear three weeks after the act 3 launch through patch 3.10.

The reason behind this delay is the devs need some more time to work on the new agent. And they don’t want to ruin the experience for players in a game where a second can change the whole outcome of the game.

The devs also admitted that it’s a hard decision for them too; however, they have requested fans to cooperate. It’s not the first time they have put a new agent on hold. Agent Skye from episode 1, act 3, was also released two weeks after act’s release.

Here’s a tweet from the official Valorant account about this announcement:

However, the devs also have good news regarding the new agent of act 3. The devs will reveal the new upcoming agent on their official social media profile on 29th Oct 2021. Post this announcement, the fans are now super excited to learn about the upcoming agent.

Riot Games: here’s what the devs have to say

“I’m here on behalf of the team to tell you that the next Agent, who goes by “———,” will launch two weeks after the start of EP3 Act III, with Patch 3.10.

“As development progressed on the new Agent, it was clear to us that they were not at the quality bar you’ve come to expect from us. It’s why we’ve opted to hold the Agent for an additional two weeks, while we work on polishing up those final aspects. Sometimes the last 10% of work really brings together the previous 90% of work.”

Valorant is a first-person free-to-play multiplayer video game, developed and published by Riot Games. The game is exclusively available for PC only. And the game has become one of the most famous titles in competitive gaming today, and as time moves forward, the game will only get more popular.
