Fortnite is coming back with its PlayStation Cup once again this February, and the has an amazing prize pool of more than $100,000. The PlayStation Cup is a competitive tournament available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players, and there are rewards with cash prizes for the winners of the tournament.

However, the sad bit is the cup is not available for Xbox console users. Xbox players also want to compete in such amazing tournaments with cash prizes and seem utterly disappointed by Epic always favoring PlayStation.

The PlayStation Cup, as the name might suggest, is definitely in favor of the PlayStation console players and has marginalized the Xbox and PC fans. Players on other platforms want to compete for a large cash pool as well. However, by excluding Xbox and PC players, Epic has lowered the intensity of the competition.

That said, this is what fans think about the tournament on Twitter.

As implied above, fans definitely find this new prospect disappointing.

Please heed fans asking for Xbox cup as well.

It seems like the disappointment of the Xbox fraternity is legitimate and Epic does need to ensure players of the game not playing the game on a PS console don’t feel left out.

Tournament rules and guidlines

According to the Epic Games website, the competition will have two rounds and each player in Round 1 must rank in the Open League or higher within Arena in their respective server region in order to participate.

Each Round 1 session will be three (3) hours long. During any Round 1 session, players may play a maximum of ten (10) matches. The scoring method described in Sections 2.4.2 and 2.4.4 will be used to award points to players (as applicable). Matches for a Round 1 session will only be counted if they commence before the Round 1 session window ends.

Following this is Round 2, where a new match will begin every thirty (30) minutes during the three (3) hour duration. If a player fails to queue for the playlist and or if they miss the start time for a specific match, it is taken they came in last with 0 kills.
