The official statement said, “We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto. At this time, we do not anticipate any disruption to our live game services nor any long-term effect on the development of our ongoing projects.”

Rockstar also said that they are not happy with the way the footage got leaked and spoiled most of the game to their fans. Also, they said that they are going to keep working on the game and make sure to showcase it to the public when the time is right.

For those who don’t know, a recent mishap in the development process of the GTA 6 happened when a hacker hacked the Rockstar Games’ server and took out footage of the upcoming GTA title.
