Rockstar Games Upsets GTA Trilogy Fans With Latest Physical Edition Update

The physical copies of GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition were all set to release on 7th Dec 2021. But, it looks like developer Rockstar Games has made a slight change of plans. Now, the official release date of the physical launch of the Definitive Edition has been delayed to 17th Dec 2021.

The game will still release for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One. But now the fans will have to wait for another 10 days. And they aren’t too pleased about it.

As the fans are well aware of GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition was getting a Nintendo Switch release. But, as with the other platforms, the game is being delayed for the Switch as well. And Switch users have got it worse since instead of being delayed 10 days, the game on Switch is coming before 2022. Moreover, no specific date was mentioned. But, fans can take it the game will arrive in the first 3 months of the new year (probably).

The news of the game getting delayed has certainly left fans saddened. There are a lot of people out there who were sincerely waiting to get their hands on the physical copies, and now they have to wait a while longer; their disappointment is understandable.

What adds to the disappointment is the game’s launch was far from ideal. In fact, it was filled with bugs and glitches. So much so that the game had to be made unavailable for sale. The game’s reviews were pretty poor too.

So with the delay on top of everything else, it makes sense for fans to be far from pleased.

Rockstar Games, to fix some of the bugs ruining the game, offered an update yesterday. The 1.03 update fixes major issues for all the platforms like PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X&S, and Xbox One. And though things aren’t as good as can be yet, this is a start.
