Rocksteady Games is a very popular development studio, known for putting DC comics back on the video game map with their Arkham Games. After completing the Arkham Trilogy, they started working on a Superman game, which was shelved soon after. Then they started working onCancel Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

This third-person superhero action game was announced years ago. And later, Rocksteady and WB Games went silent. But now it appears fans are about to get plenty of information about this game.

Sony recently announced an upcoming showcase for the coming Thursday. It was also revealed that fans would be getting a look at a bunch of PlayStation VR 2 titles, some third-party games, and most importantly, an extended look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League!

An extended look simply means that fans can expect some short trailers here and there and then a very long gameplay demo of Suicide Squad. This has really boosted the excitement of fans who are still waiting for this game.

Some have lost their enthusiasm because this game was announced years ago and then it was as if developers and publishers forgot about it altogether. Then some got skeptical when the director of Arkham games, Sefton Hill, decided to leave this studio behind.

Even though Sefton is still mentioned as the Director of Kill the Justice League, he left the studio at the end of 2022. This can only mean one of two things: either he decided to complete this game and then leave, or he left and they would be announcing a co-director soon.

About the game though, it is said to have some co-op elements to it. Given the fact that players control one of four members of the Suicide Squad team, it only makes sense.

WB Games was planning to follow Marvel’s Avengers game with this title. But once Avengers dived nose-first into the ground, it had to change its course. It appears this was the reason for them delaying this game for such a long time. Looks like they decided to change it from a live service title to a more focused title.
