The ‘OG’ Assassin’s Creed had the most classic RPG mechanics which the developers have tried to bring back in MirageIf the rumors are to be believed, it seems like Ubisoft might have decided to cater to the fan demand.

A user took to Twitter to share the rumor. They predicted Assassin’s Creed Codename Red to be the last of the RPG-origin style. The rumor was sourced to a ‘known insider’. 

The open-world experience was heavily criticized in most of the previous installments. Fans felt the open world rather felt empty. Although the RPG format has worked wonders for the franchise over the years, few gamers think it is high time the developers decide to move on.

A fan speculated Mirage to be the game-changer for the future of the franchise. They wrote, “Origins Formula I hope they don’t Gameplay because i want INNOVATIONS WITH RED not after. I’m aware that Mirage will be a test of Ubisoft and a try of Ubisoft to win back lost fans but Assassins Creed hasn’t brought any big innovations since Unity. Quite the opposite more.”
