While the franchise’s thirteenth installment release is on the edge, the developers have already planned a star-studded blueprint for the future. Ever since the developers revealed the future lineup of the label, fans have been speculating about the adaptation of the ‘OG’ format.

Ubisoft has promoted their forthcoming giant Assassin’s Creed Mirage on the nostalgic factor. The developers have emphasized the game’s focus on bringing back old gameplay features. They aren’t the only gaming giants to bank on the nostalgic tangent this year. Considering the heavy line-up ahead, it would be challenging to rely on the original RPG formula for a long. Now, inside information sparks rumors about the closure of the new format.

The open-world experience was heavily criticized in most of the previous installments. Fans felt the open world rather felt empty. Although the RPG format has worked wonders for the franchise over the years, few gamers think it is high time the developers decide to move on.

But a lot of fans still feel that the origins format can still create magic with just some improvements.

I’m aware that Mirage will be a test of Ubisoft and a try of Ubisoft to win back lost fans but Assassins Creed hasn’t brought any big innovations since Unity. Quite the opposite more.”
