The internet has been hearing about the Nintendo Switch 2 for the longest time now. Fans have been waiting for its arrival for a couple of years, and new adopters are holding out their purchase for it too.

There are speculations about graphically enhanced versions of Nintendo Switch games coming to it. And there are rumors and speculations about its launch date. Some say it’s coming as soon as this year; others say it’s coming next year. But there’s hardly any strong evidence to cement these claims. Now we have a leak that suggests that this new and upcoming console is either in development or ready for it.

Nintendo Switch 2 might be in production currently!

When will the Switch 2 launch? What specifications would it have? Would it be capable of running games in 4K? And the biggest question of all is, does it even exist?

All these questions race through the heads of fans, who wonder if this new console will even be a new Switch model. One thing that is all but confirmed is the fact that it would use Nvidia’s T239 SoC.

This chip would have an Ampere-based GPU and would be DLSS and Ray tracing capable. The console itself is a mystery, but recently Switchforce reported the findings of a Nintendo fan. A user called Drtre81 on Twitter found a LinkedIn page of a designer who was working on this chip.

On further investigations, he found out that the designer then went on to work for a company that specializes in taping-out tasks. This is basically the final step in designing integrated circuits and printed circuit boards.

This basically means he probably worked on the motherboard of this upcoming Nintendo device. The best part is that it’s been a while since he completed that job. He did it around a year ago!

This means this console’s board is all done and ready, and there are chances that this console is either in the process of being manufactured or that process is about to begin soon. If it has been in development, then there are even chances of it releasing this year, and fans might even see a bunch of their favorite games with upgraded visuals, as we said before.
