Ever since its release, there have been quite a few bugs in CS2 that Valve has yet to address. While some of the glitches can be ignored, others might just break the game. Although most bugs are visual or an error in the code of the program, others can lead to leaking player information.
In recent hours, reports have surfaced on Reddit, about a significant security exploit within Counter-Strike 2. While the authenticity of these claims remains unverified, the potential risks associated with the described exploit are quite concerning.

Another thing that the original Reddit poster suspected was that once the IP address was known, hackers could try to get into their systems. After that, there is a chance of potentially running a malicious code or taking access to someone’s Steam account. But is this news even true?

Possibilities that this exploit is a false rumor
Talk of the exploit started on Reddit, which is usually a good source of information for video games, but mostly includes gamers sharing their opinions. While the idea of giving away your IP address may sound scary, it could also be a false alarm due to some playing a prank on others. On the other hand, many sources say that players should avoid CS2 until an update arrives.

While many are trying to debunk the truth behind the exploit, CS2 is losing its player count. The game is currently at the lowest number of players it has been since its launch, which is an alarming thing that deserves Valve’s attention.
