A black samurai protagonist in New Assassin’s Creed?

Well, the rumors at least suggest that way. A recent leak about the game suggested that this new Assassin’s Creed title will feature the unique story of Japan’s first black samurai Yasuke. Yasuke was the first warrior of African lineage to receive samurai status in Japan. Now Ubisoft will reportedly focus on Yasuke while developing the protagonist for Codename Red.

It is definitely popular that the Assassin’s Creed team had always prioritized the historical accuracy of their gameplay. Apart from delving into the political realms of Rome, Greece, and Egypt, their new destination in Japan will likely offer the journey of samurais as assassins. Yasuke’s presence as the protagonist can offer diversity to the title looking at the huge fan base of the franchise. However, Ubisoft has yet to announce anything officially for the fans.

Assassin’s Creed fans seemed excited with this leak suggesting a brand-new protagonist for Codename Red. Since this game will be the one in the franchise to follow similar RPG techniques, players are anxious and excited to know about the game in detail.
