The two gaming studios have been budding heads ever since the start of the century. Recently. Xbox came up with a unique service ‘Game Pass’ which has been attracting new subscribers and gamers all over the world. It offers an array of free titles and also adds a new roster of games every month at a very low price for a limited time. These things have certainly made it the most lucrative service in the gaming ecosystem that helps gamers to discover new genres and play Triple-A titles on a routine basis.

If these rumors do carry any weight and if there is a closed room meeting going between the two, then Netflix should not pick sides. This could seriously constrict its ability to offer fresh content and both champions of the console wars have a massive list of amazing titles to offer. The OTT platform can easily run prominent titles of Xbox and PlayStation once its cloud-based gaming service becomes a reality.

Xbox has prominent titles like Halo, Gears of War, Sea of Thieves, and so on. Meanwhile, PlayStation can offer amazing titles like Spiderman, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and many more. Netflix has a lot to gain by playing the neutral party and instead of picking sides.

In case this rumored tie-up results in a potential exclusive deal, then PlayStation may have found an answer to Xbox’s Game Pass. This streaming service can help bring their prominent titles to a much wider audience. Moreover, Netflix will also have its wish fulfilled as the platform will finally dip its toes in the video game industry soon.
