Since the grand debut of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, fans have been requesting the devs to add more elements from the original Modern Warfare 2. The classic from 2009 is still regarded as one of the best games in the FPS franchise.
Now, considering the fact that the newest installment is loosely based on this memorable title, it makes sense to bring more nostalgic aspects of MW2 to Modern Warfare II. Well, it looks like Season 3 is going to do just that, in a unique way to say the least.

Classic weapon audio from Modern Warfare 2 is coming back with Call of Duty Modern Warfare II Season 3!
The Intervention sniper rifle (renamed FJX Imperium) isn’t the only returning item from 2009’s blockbuster in the brand new season. Thanks to a recent blog, it’s been confirmed by the devs that players will also receive classic weapon audio from that game. And this will happen with an Audio Bundle consisting of MW 2 2009 weapon sounds.
The blog mentions, at the very end, that Call of Duty Modern Warfare II will continue to have multiple bundles going forward. “Look for more Bundles throughout Season 03, including Tracer Pack: Dr. Kushlov, Tracer Pack: Anime Boogie, Inkblot Bundle, The Throwback Pack: ’09 Weapon Audio Bundle, and more.”
Simply put, players will get to relive their golden memories of Modern Warfare 2 from 2009. However, it’s not yet confirmed when this Throwback Pack: ’09 Weapon Audio Bundle will be released in Season 3. All things considered, though, it will surely prove to be an amazing, nostalgic touch to the ongoing installment.
Activision’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is now available across the globe. Players can purchase it on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X\S, Xbox One, and PC. Its brand-new season is packed with new Multiplayer modes, maps, and various other exciting features.
