The Halo series is something that has a special place in the gamers’ hearts. In fact, it appears that the series is so influential that it has made a mark outside gaming as well. Citizens of Seattle welcomed the new year with the Halo theme playing at the Space Needle.

Seattle pays tribute to Halo

Apparently, the DJ of the Space Needle celebrations is a video game fan and has a sense of humor. To the delight and surprise of long-time fans, the Halo 2 theme was featured during these celebrations. Something as iconic as this is bound to catch attention. In fact, Senior Community Manager at 343 Industries, John Junyszek took to a Twitter post showcasing these events.

However, this was not the only song about an ethereal ring in that event. Massively popular pop-star Beyonce’s release, Halo made an appearance as well. This combination was quick to amuse and impress fans.

Seattle’s Space Needle has managed to establish itself as one of the more iconic New Years’ celebrations along the West Coast.  Fireworks and songs accompany the New Years’ celebrations alongside the Space Needle sporting aesthetic lights.

However, these celebrations have been quite unlucky as of recently. In 2019, the program was canceled due to a storm. The pandemic blew out all hopes for a celebration in 2020.

Fortunately, with some form of normalcy, the program is back. However, considering the recent surge in recent Covid cases, these celebrations can be watched by streaming them online only.

This did not stop the celebrations from proceeding with enthusiastic fervor. A lot of iconic entries were made to the playlist that was playing this year.

Recent addition to the series

After the rocky sequel known as Halo 5, 343 Industries had to live up to their reputation. The sequel is a massive improvement to the community’s surprise. The campaign is quick to strike the emotional chords of the player.

The multiplayer is quite phenomenal in terms of gameplay. Despite having issues like desync and cheating, the game is on the right track.
