On Reddit, an individual shared their story of how they recently ran into an unexpected trouble due to Pokemon Go. The user, known as u/p4755166, wrote in their post that they were trying to use the Pokemon GO Pokestop scanning feature to scan their area for an increased amount of drops. It’s an already-established game mechanic present in the hit title.

However, it was their approach to accomplish their objective that caught the attention of other people who were there. The Reddit user mentioned that they kept roaming around the same local park area constantly for an hour and a half. They kept doing the scans while spinning the PokeStops. Suddenly, a pair of cops came by to speak to them.
Fortunately, after hearing a logical explanation, regarding the gameplay mechanics, the police officers left the player without taking any strict action against them.

The Reddit player also mentioned in their post that the cops questioned them after someone reported their behavior on the suspicion that they were indulging in a wrongful activity. All things considered, though, the Pokemon Go player will surely remember this incident. That is, to not go extremely deeper into catching virtual creatures.
