Over the years, as Fortnite came into prominence, one thing it became known for was its ambitious crossovers. Working with big content names, it brought together characters one would think nearly impossible to see together, such as Kratos and the Master Chief from Halo. Keeping on with its promise of bringing a wide variety of characters into the game, Fortnite brought an entirely new show into the mix after bringing its characters into the game.

Once fans found out the Fortnie-Futurama collaboration was actually taking place, they could not believe their eyes. In a shocking turn of events, Fry and a few other characters were brought into the world of Fortnite as two worlds clashed.

Once Fortnite teased Futurama coming to the game, fans could not believe their luck. One of the most popular animated series would be coming to Fortnite, bringing along a range of characters to play as. It all started when Fortnite dropped a three-second teaser that showed a spaceship glider crashing into a billboard with Hypnotoad on it. That was the confirmation of Futurama’s arrival.

After a short delay in releasing the update, Fortnite will finally bring Futurama in the July 26th update. While Epic Games kept the details of cosmetic items under wraps, it seems likely that among the characters available for purchase from the in-game store will include Fry, Blender, and Leela. In addition to this, there will be a whole host of other items such as pickaxes, gliders, sprays, and possibly even more. Fans also expect changes to locations such as Mega City, since it featured in the trailer.

While some fans gushed over Futurama coming to the game, others anticipated new crossovers it might bring. Following Futurama, there are a few comedy animated shows yet to collaborate with Fortnite. Could this mean we see a Family Guy crossover with Fortnite? It might just be fun seeing Lois and Peter running around in duos!

The hype train got so big that even a big console name joined in! Xbox‘s official handle put out a tweet about the collaboration, hailing the Hypnotoad in all its glory. This looks to be one of the biggest crossovers Epic Games brought to Fortnite. Additionally, it seems reminiscent of some of the initial crossovers, such as the Travis Scott concert.
