Valorant is one of the top FPS games of 2022. The 5v5 shooter masterpiece caters to millions of PC fans from different parts of the world. The game gained traction in the later parts of the lockdown, giving fans something to take their mind off.

The Riot Games creation picked up pace right from the start, allowing the franchise to churn massive revenue and sales growth. While Riot introduced the title as a free-to-play game, they added flashy in-game cosmetics to lure fans. The game’s fictional aspect is something that helps it stand out, as we barely have such hits in the genre.

Till Oct 12, the fan base enjoyed a library of 18 unique legends with different power-ups, abilities, and characteristics. However, looking at the massive hype, the franchise launched a new one as a tribute to its Indian community.

And that’s when the world saw ‘Harbor’ for the first time. Valorant’s Twitter/YouTube page uploaded a cinematic trailer featuring the legend on the streets of India’s capital, Delhi. While the legend received mixed reactions, fans settled that they at least had a new legend to play.

Riot Games drops fresh ‘Indian’ origin legend in Valorant

In the past few years, we’ve seen gaming companies introduce in-game legends based on different cultures and countries. Apex Legends was a prime example of this, as we saw legends from Spain, France, India, and some more origins. Similarly, Riot Games released Valorant, had a common idea as its legends represented their cultures.

While Reyna represented Mexico, Raze featured from Brazil and Breach from Sweden. Most of the popular countries had a representative agent except India, who still contributed enough to the player base. So, to fill the void, Riot Games introduced ‘Harbor,’ another water-type legend.
