The internet is going “aww” after popular YouTuber IShowSpeed uploaded a video of him meeting Christiano Ronaldo on Sunday. The FIFA streamer and YouTube blogger have expressed his deep admiration of Ronaldo on multiple occasions. So it wasn’t surprising to see Speed gushing when meeting his idol in Lisbon at the Euro 2024 Qualifiers. Many fans, including streamers, reacted to the video in obviously different ways.

Adin Ross, another YouTube content creator, seemed to think that Speed has helped to make the soccer legend even more famous. While soccer fans may take offense at such a remark, Ross seems to have his logic straight.

IShowSpeed fanboy over Ronaldo

In a video uploaded from his YouTube channel, IShowSpeed was seen meeting the former Real Madrid superstar when the latter was there to face Bosnia and Herzegovina for the EURO Qualifiers. In the video, Speed couldn’t stop saying “I love you” to the 5 times Ballon d’Or winner. Speed was seen waiting for his idol to arrive and once Ronaldo got off from his vehicle, Speed couldn’t stop hugging the Al Nassr striker.

IShowSpeed rose to fame for his live antics while streaming FIFA. And now when he finally met one of his favorite players, it looked like Speed couldn’t believe it was actually happening. Speed’s reaction made even Ronaldo smile as Speed fell to his knees as Ronaldo stepped out of his car. Speed kept saying “oh my God” over and over again as if he went into some kind of trance from the confrontation. He showed Ronaldo a tattoo of the legend Speed has on him and couldn’t help, like all fans, but request Ronaldo to do his famous “SUIII” with him.

Adin Ross says Speed made his fans follow Ronaldo

Speed’s teary meeting with Ronaldo made many fans and streamers react on their own. Adin Ross seemed to believe that Speed’s popularity has helped Ronaldo to become more popular. While this may be true to some extent for the American market, Roanldo’s 590 million followers on Instagram stomp over Speed’s Instagram follower numbers which is a mere 18 million. Such numbers are no joking matter and many fans didn’t forget to tell Ross about it.

In his own YouTube video, uploaded hours later Speed’s meeting with Ronaldo, Ross said that IShowSpeed has helped a lot of young Americans become aware of Ronaldo and his legendary feats and thus helped Ronaldo to gain more fans. A storm ensued on Twitter as many posts couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at Ross’ remarks.

Despite the internet trying to determine who is more famous, the meeting between IShowSpeed and Ronaldo was a wholesome moment, that seemed to make many people smile.
