In the justification, Sony boss Eric Lempel said that PlayStation Portal will directly use the internet to send gaming signals to the device. Players will not need any cable to connect the device to any screen or television.

Lempel said– “ it would benefit those who wanted to play games on their sofa while a partner watched TV, or to play games in a different room.” Sony executive’s comment helped fans to understand how PS Portal will be a completely new device, which is truly one of a kind.

Sony’s PS Portal is yet to be released but the pre-ordering started yesterday. This device will offer an 8-inch LCD screen with 60FPS and 1080p display. PS Portal will have a 3.5mm audio jack too. However, this device will not have any Bluetooth connectivity. But assumed 6E Wi-Fi Support might help players figure out an unbelievably good gaming experience in it. 

As mentioned PS Portal won’t support PS cloud streaming or PSVR 2 games. However, ultra-low SoC chip is convincing to offer speedy accessibility.
