Kojima Productions developed this 2019 action video game after their split from Konami. This game is set in a post-apocalyptic where a supernatural being called Death Stranding is plaguing the landscapes and threatening the whole world. Now it’s up to Sam Porter Bridges to travel across America to protect humanity from this significant threat.

Death Stranding a part of the PC Game Pass by Kojima Productions
Sony Interactive Entertainment released this 2019 action game as a PlayStation exclusive. After the colossal success on PlayStation, the developers ported the game to PC under the banners of 505 Games. Death Stranding had similar success on PC as it did on PlayStation.

Recently, Xbox announced that this former PlayStation exclusive would be part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC. Undoubtedly, it was the most shocking news this month as it’s hard to imagine a Sony property being part of Xbox’s PC Game Pass. Many gamers thought this to be a move that would narrow the walls between the two console brands.

However, Sony recently broke its silence on the issue and surprised the fans. A Sony spokesperson said, “Matters relating to the PC release of Death Stranding are managed by Kojima Productions and 505 Games. SIE has no involvement in this promotion.”

Undoubtedly, it’s huge to know that Sony doesn’t have anything to do with this Kojima masterpiece being part of their rival company’s PC Game Pass. However, it also raises questions about the contracts Sony signed with developers, as they have no control over where their property ends up.

Moreover, it was not the first time for Sony that their property ended up on Xbox Game Pass. The baseball simulation video game ‘MLB The Show 22′ also ended up on Xbox Game Pass earlier this year.
