Sony usually makes a slim version of their consoles. So many fans have wondered if that will be the case with the PlayStation 5. The massive success of the PlayStation 5 so far has fans wondering if the new console will get a new look, just like the ps4 did.

With that question in mind, many rumors surfaced in the PlayStation community about the possibility of a similar theme on the new console. While many speculations and rumors surround the new look for the PlayStation 5, Sony has finally given the answer.

Sony’s answer to the community came in as a post on the official PlayStation blog. In the blog Sony finally announced the new look for the PlayStation 5. Sony is ready to launch a compact version of the powerful PS5. And fans can’t get enough of it.

With a sleek new design, the console is smaller than the original system itself. The new PlayStation 5 model is 30% smaller and 18% lighter than the previous models.

The new PS5 model comes with a 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) for more internal storage. The new look comes in two options. The PS5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive and the PS5 Digital Edition.

This news is a big win for PlayStation fans. They have been eagerly awaiting a smaller variant of the machine to fit into their setups. Unfortunately, there is no reveal of the release date yet. However, considering the original PS5 was launched in November, and the holiday season is approaching, it’s likely that players might get to see the new console by the end of this year or early next year.
