Wedbush Analyst Michael Pachter reacts to the Sony – Bungie deal!

After Sony’s arch-rival acquired Bethesda for $7.5 billion and Activision Blizzard for $67.8 billion, the company rushed into their acquisition deal, making a huge mistake. The value at which they bought the Halo makers looked vastly overpaid for analyst Michael Pachter.

With such amazing deals, this one looks like a rookie mistake. But let’s not form an opinion here as Bungie can be the game-changer. The developer created Destiny, which sold 4,304,393 copies in the first week of its release. Apart from that, they also made its sequel which stormed the markets by selling 1.92 million copies in 7 days.

Sony’s bright future!

After the release of PlayStation 5 in 2020, Sony has been doing pretty well in terms of sales. The franchise has sold 17.5 million units to date and can see a sharp rise with the release of new titles.
