Ever since the first Marvel’s Spider-Man game was launched more than four years ago, PlayStation fans have been in love with the now-iconic series from Insomniac Games.

Thanks to the infinite success of the first part and then the spin-off in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the studio is now working on the third entry in its franchise. Not to mention that every gaming enthusiast is currently waiting to get some kind of update on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and its release date. Well, now it seems like their wish has been fulfilled, in a way, going by a recent leak.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is reportedly going to release during fall 2023, it’s claimed

As noted by Insider Gaming, a writer working for Insomniac Games recently put up an information regarding her upcoming projects online. Screen Writer Jamie Mayer described her next title to be none other than the awaited Spider-Man 2 game.

Not just that, she even mentioned some crucial details regarding the PlayStation 5 exclusive. By mistake, Jamie stated on ‘Screen Writing’ page of her website that she’s currently “on the team for the upcoming Spider-Man 2 (release fall 2023) and Wolverine games (release TBD) for Insomniac Games/Sony Interactive”.

Interestingly, though, it seems like she immediately realized the blunder committed by her in the description. Hence, she edited it later and now if anyone will visit the page again, the above details won’t be visible to them. She has just mentioned that she’s working on Spider-Man 2, without revealing a single thing about the release window.

But now we know that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 can be expected to arrive in 2023 and won’t be delayed. Although the screenwriter removed the leaked information, fans will now take a breath of relief upon knowing that their anticipated PS5 title is set to make its debut during fall 2023. At least there’s now something to look forward to for that time of next year.
