Insomniac teased the Spider-Man mode by responding to a fan
Following months of talking up the ray tracing technology that would revamp gaming, fans had been eagerly awaiting the onset of the PlayStation 5. Naturally, Spider-Man: Miles Morales was always going to have to shoulder immense expectations. While the game and its story certainly had fans gushing over it, ray tracing at the optimum level was the one missing element.
A month ago, a fan came up with an intelligent suggestion that even fetched a response from Insomniac. Unsurprisingly, gamers were eagerly looking forward to the much-needed change that should have been a part of the game since the beginning.

This fueled the rumors of Insomniac secretly working on the upgrade, but no concrete facts were available confirming the same. The game was majestic, but running at just 30fps with ray-tracing mode was a bummer.
It seems like the developers have silently added the much-needed upgrade to the performance without ever announcing it.

Final thoughts
The addition of this feature was a change that never should have been ignored. It seems Insomniac was already working on the feature following the launch. The studio only teased the fans with its tweet, instead of making a deal about it.

This feature will allow gamers to roam New-York City without having to compromise on the performance. The game will continue to offer 60 FPS while running at the best quality, with a few tweaks. However, you will spot marginally fewer NPCs on the streets to accommodate ray-tracing.
