Not just that, Insomniac‘s double delight of two protagonists surely made quite a buzz around the media. However, what still bugs the players about this game is Peter Parker’s face.
Yes! Fans expressed heavy setbacks when Insomniac Games released the remastered PlayStation 5 edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 changing Peter’s face. Developers reportedly changed Peter’s face with a different person that suited better voice actor Yuri Lowenthal’s motions. However, fans criticized that it took away Peter’s facial innocence. Now that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s release is already knocking on the door, fans expressed their disappointment with Insomniac’s new Peter Parker. But Lowenthal reportedly asked them to get used to the change.

While asking about the initial repercussions of Peter’s facial transformations in 2020, he replied- “The performance was the same for me. I got over it as soon as they said ‘Hey, we wanna make this change so that the facial animation is better.’ I said ‘I’m all in!’ I don’t care if he looks like a goblin, if my performance is better, then I’m in.” Lowenthal’s comment showed that he was pretty chill as long as the changes suited the game’s purpose.

However, he also spoke about how the audience’s anger was caused due to their emotional connection with Peter’s character. Now, it’s time to forget about it- “ but you connected with the character which is great. Now, get over it!” While Lowenthal urged fans to finally accept Peter’s changes, Insomniac brought many exclusive Spider-Man suits to cheer fans up.
