Splatoon 3 to hold a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom-themed festival

Nintendo’s Splatoon 3 will be holding a special festival in collaboration with the upcoming Legend of Zelda title. The theme of the festival is “What do you want? Power vs. Wisdom vs. Courage” This theme is a nod to the Triforces present in the Zelda universe. It will be a two-day festival, starting from 9:00 am on May 6, to 9:00 am on May 8.

This Zelda festival will be the next one in Splatoon 3 after the Fourth Yobi festival, which concluded on February 13. Furthermore, the fans of this ink-splashing game should be excited about the new Tricolor Match theme which will be coming with the Zelda festival.

On the last day of the festival, players can join the 2v4v2 match to win prizes. The ink used for the Tricolor Match will correspond to the Triforces of the Zelda universe.

The Tricolor matches are to be painted in Zelda colors

The tricolor matches have this unique 2v4v2 concept. A team of four acts as defenders while the two attacker duos start at the left and right of the defenders. The team with the most ink on the ground wins, although there is a side quest too. Attackers starting from the edges of the stadium have to move towards the super signal in the center. Defenders have to stop them from getting these signals.

According to Nintendo, “A different stage appears each time in Tricolor Match, but this time it seems that the stage of the battle is a rock with a particularly unique shape among the ‘Yunohana Great Valley’ where you can see various strange rocks.”
