According to Nintendo of America, the Splatoon 3 edition of the console will launch on August 26, just in time for Splatoon 3’s release. As of now, Splatoon 3 is slated to release on September 9.

In a reveal video, Nintendo showed off the upcoming edition in its vibrant colors. It truly looks like a console every Splatoon fan would want! In fact, every Nintendo Switch owner would like to have such a fascinating design on their console.

Did Nintendo forget to add in a controller? Absolutely not! Fans will also be able to grab a Switch Pro Controller splashed with a Splatoon 3 touch. Alongside the controller, Nintendo will also make available a Splatoon 3 edition carrying case.

Although the Switch OLED model of the Splatoon 3 collection drops earlier, the controller and the carrying case will be available on September 9, alongside the game’s launch.

As expected, members of the Splatoon community were quite happy with Nintendo’s plans.

On the other hand, many fans referred to a popular speculation from earlier today. With Nintendo setting the OLED model trailers on YouTube to private, some had assumed that the company may be planning to release new hardware, namely a Switch Pro or a Switch 2. However, it turned out to be Splatoon 3 edition of OLED instead.
