The Quest for Meaningful Updates

After the game’s launch, it became an overnight success, maintaining the legacy of its predecessors. And with that, everyone thought there would be a DLC or major update announcement soon. But Square Enix dropped the idea of a DLC initially. But this recent survey is surely a teaser of what lies ahead for Final Fantasy XVI—a DLC or a major update.

Even Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida has expressed his interest in a DLC launch centered around fan-favorite character Cid. Yoshida says about Cid: “He is such an interesting character with his complex life and background story.”

Cid has become a popular character amongst Final Fantasy XVI fans not just because of his Yorkshire accent but also because of famous British actor Ralph Ineson’s brilliant voice acting behind Cid.

In easy language, this survey just wants to know from the players what they want to see in Final Fantasy XVI in the future. It can be additional story content, the introduction of new characters, or improvements in gameplay.
