Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Is Coming To Last Gen Consoles Soon, Confirms EA

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor remains one of the most elite titles released in the first half of 2023. The title after several delays was finally released in April for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X & S. Ever since the release, there were speculations around a possible version for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Now, after months of waiting it seems like a new version release for the older consoles is imminent.

Over the years, the game has earned a cult fan following of its own making the label a brand of its own. For all the sci-fi fans, this game series has been a pick of all other space exploration. Even highly-anticipated giants like Starfield are frequently compared to the standards of Star Wars. Cashing on the hype built around sci-fi titles, makers have announced the much-awaited update on a new version of their latest venture. Good news for all the fans who haven’t purchased the latest consoles yet, to play this game you won’t be needing to. 

Respawn Working To Make Star Wars: Jedi Cross-Gen!

The Jedi: Survivor is a sequel to its predecessor Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. While its predecessor was a cross-gen release, developers changed the pattern for Jedi making it fully current-gen. Although due to the number of players still relying on the older generation consoles, an adapted version was just a matter of time. The publisher of the developing giant in the latest interview the same. The latter assured that Respawn is currently making all the efforts to bring the game to Xbox One and PS4.

Adding on the update the latter quoted, “Additional performance improvements for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S remain a top priority at Respawn and the team will share more information as soon as the next update is ready.” It seems like the makers also have some plans regarding new patches for the current-gen. There’s still no confirmation on the time it would take for the game to reach cross-gen. In any case, the update is still a huge boost for gaming fans. It has been a while since Respawn Entertainment began its radio silence on the matter.

A critically acclaimed project like Jedi: Survivor deserves to be on every possible console platform. After the interview, fans have begun speculating on the possibility of a Nintendo Switch release soon. Of course, considering the current updates, the speculation seems like a long shot from now. But it will be interesting to see how the makers progress with the varied console owner demands.
