In Starfield, leveling up is the key to unlock thrilling adventures and hidden secrets. Let’s explore the most convenient ways to do it –

1. Sleeping gives you the “well-rested” bonus

As we said before, Starfield is a massive game; players go around exploring, and sometimes they just forget that their character needs some rest now and then. Hence, it is highly recommended that they allow their characters some moments of rest.

It would keep them well-rested and give some bonus XP in the form of a well-rested bonus.

2. Alien tea does the job

Alien tea is a craftable beverage in Starfield; players can craft the same for themselves at the cost of distilled water x1 and fiber x1. It’s pretty simple to craft, and these components are even easier to get. Every time players drink one of these, they get 1XP. Yes, it’s a drop in an ocean, but every drop counts.

3. Get Married

It might sound a bit unusual, but getting married is another way of earning some extra XP in Starfield. It’s not hard to do either; just keep your companions happy and approach one of them with a proposal; they will no doubt accept it.

After this, players would start getting a 15% boost to their well-rested XP bonus; this isn’t so bad.

4. Explore

You get a ship, and you get a map, and your companions are always eager to follow you where you want. So just go out and explore; the universe is yours here, quite literally. Every time you discover a new location, you earn some XP. This is the most natural way of earning XP in Starfield; sometimes players would just be walking, and they would earn XP just for stumbling into stuff.

5. Complete bounty-hunting missions

Starfield lets players be who they want to be; they can be a very good son to their parents, or they can be a renegade and a bounty hunter. Having parents is good and all, but we recommend hunting for some bounties before visiting them. You would have some money, and you would have earned some extra XP.

There are several kinds of bounty-hunting missions in this game too: destroying spaceships, delivering packages, taking out targets, and much more. Players would earn a good amount of credits and XP upon completing every new bounty.

6. Go on a killing spree

Besides every way mentioned above, one more thing players can do is just find a planet with a bunch of faunas and start massacring them. Kill as many as you can find and as many as you feel like. They hardly run out, and players can go back and do it again and again. There is truly an unlimited source of XP here.
