Starfield fans looking to go into a voluntary cyber-ban to avoid spoilers. Community hype for Starfield has been real. Bethesda’s upcoming GOTY nominee is being highly speculated among fans. Since the Xbox Showcase display, Starfield’s features have been discussed extensively by everyone. Starfield Direct has also dumped a ton of information on the community and armies of fans have sat down to analyze every single frame. How the game will look, and play have wild theories about them.

The game drops in September this year and some fans will try everything they can to not spoil the game for themselves beforehand.

Many believe that Starfield will be Bethesda’s seminal work. The scope and scale of the game, from what has been seen yet, have mesmerized viewers. At the Xbox Showcase in June, the devs also revealed Starfield Direct, the one place to learn everything about the game. The gameplay footage released by the developers has also been promising. Since then, these materials are being analyzed thoroughly.

However, so much discussion and exposure on the game has many worried that such debates can give away spoilers for others.

Going under the stone

A post on the Reddit group announced plans for voluntary exile from the cyber world before playing Starfield.

Redditor FarServe 1620 claims to be super excited about the game and doesn’t want the experience tainted in any way. “Social media, for me, back then wasn’t as big as now and I am thinking if it would be best to ban myself from social media for at least a month to enjoy the game without spoilers and negative talk about the game.”

The proposal seems to resonate among many others who consider imposing something similar on themselves a great way to avoid spoiling the experience. The original post also said that escaping something can be impossible these days with so much information being available everywhere. Under the comments section, another fan also said that the same reasons have prompted him to take the same decision as well.
