Starfield Surpasses Giants Like Marvel’s Spider-Man and the Last of Us, Becomes the Second Most Watched First Party Game on Twitch

Bethesda’s highly anticipated title marked its early access from September 1. The numbers recorded as the response for early access to Starfield are a teaser of what’s in store for the community. The early sale projections predict a lot of records to be broken post its release on 6 September. And it looks like Starfield’s already on its way to domination. 

Earlier, Bethesda’s newest IP had surpassed all the existing predictions on the early access response for Steam. Now, almost four days after the Sci-Fi adventure has marked its entry into the industry, it has crossed yet another huge milestone, after surpassing even some of PlayStation’s biggest titles.

Ever since the game was announced at the Xbox Showcase 2023, fans have been speculating about what Bethesda has to offer this time. It goes without saying that with the official glimpses released along with genius marketing strategies, the hype only kept on increasing. 

There was an undeniable, widespread eagerness to explore the open world as soon as possible. Finally, with early access, some gamers were subjected to the ultimate experience. Starfield became the most-watched 1st party game in the history of the platform. It is important to note that these statistics exclude the numbers of Minecraft, which, if included, would still be on the top. 

Besides Minecraft, the Bethesda giant surpassed an elite list of the most celebrated titles in gaming years. These include PlayStation exclusives like The Last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Marvel’s Spider-Man, God of War Ragnarok, and many more. 

Beginning of an era?

The open-world RPG has been one of the highest trending games on every streaming platform lately. Before the big launch, players would want to be prepared with all the snippets and skills in the game. Also, with the current analytical projections, it won’t be surprising if the game goes on to take over Minecraft soon.
