Starfield Would Have Been a Little Better if They Took This Feature From Far Cry

Starfield is a massive game that gives its players a huge playground to play on. From exploring a huge universe consisting of over 1000 planets to just relaxing and enjoying their time with their virtual parents. In this game, nothing is off the table, and the table itself is pretty huge. But, recently, players seem to crave a specific in-game feature to be more easily accessible.
In Starfield, players can build their outposts and design their ships. Those outposts are not just basic four-wall and roof cabins either; they are huge bases complete with a mining machine and everything else that players want to add to them. But some suggest Bethesda could have made Starfield’s outpost better by taking inspiration from Far Cry!
How would Far Cry’s outposts make Starfield a better game?

Starfield has an insanely detailed way of building outposts. Players scan a planet for resources; they check the location where those resources are available in abundance. Then they land there and start building their outpost in that very location. It requires a world of resources that players either buy or collect using the power of exploration and hoarding. It can get a tad complex at times and annoying when one runs out of resources all the time.
Far Cry players, on the other hand, do not have to build these outposts at all. They just explore the open world, find an outpost, and take it over. Of course, taking it over is not as easy. They are riddled with enemies, and players are free to clear them as they want, with stealth or by going full guns blazing. When it is cleared of enemies, players own that outpost. This is what some fans want Starfield to have. Can it have that version of outposts? Yes. Should it have such a thing? It depends on the players.

Starfield is not Far Cry, and that’s why it sold way more than any Far Cry game. Far Cry games are a product that Ubisoft releases every 2-3 years; Starfield took 8 years to work.

It would be silly to even wonder if that thing is possible. Of course, it is possible, and chances are that Bethesda would do it much better, but then again, what would be the difference between a Ubisoft game and a Bethesda game?
They could take some tips from The Outer Worlds, though.
Starfield could have done much better if the developers had decided to build this game around the idea of the Outer Worlds. Give your game as many explorable planets as you want; just keep them hand-made. 50 hand-designed planets would have been much better than over a thousand randomly generated planets.

Random generation is good; it is very efficient too, but it always has rough edges. Incomprehensively weird fauna It just feels empty; a hand-designed planet would have had much more character than what we had in games like Skyrim and Fallout 4. Here’s hoping Bethesda learns a lesson and does it better with its upcoming DLCs and the probable sequel.
