Call of Duty is coming back to Steam after 5 years with Modern Warfare II

Ever since the first game came out in the franchise, Call of Duty has been a console-based series throughout the years. Most of the players have enjoyed it on either the Xbox or the PlayStation. However, there’s been a healthy amount of those who have had it on PC as well.

It has been the case due to a change in preference of the players, as not all of them are interested in going for the consoles.

For the last few years, players have been able to enjoy Call of Duty titles on PC only through the Battle.net launcher from Activision Blizzard. But this won’t be the case anymore, at least going by a recent discovery on Twitter. It looks like Modern Warfare II, the next major installment in the action series will make its grand debut on Steam.

Steam, itself, just confirmed this news by sharing the recent teaser clip posted by the official Call of Duty account. This implies that the digital store has, indeed, made a partnership with Activision regarding Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare II.

Well, it also means that Call of Duty will return to the store after a gap of five years. 2017’s World War II, from Sledgehammer Games, was the last entry to arrive on Steam. Since then, all the successive games have been available on PC only through Activision‘s own Battle.net launcher.
