Jake Yip rose to the spotlight after winning the ELEAGUE Boston Major with Cloud-9. In January 2022, Evil Geniuses signed the American professional gamer Jake Yip, famously known as Stewie2k, to captain the Counter-Strike Global Offensive team.

But the former assistant coach of EG, Paolo Berbudeau, recognized as EVY, revealed that Stewie2k had unprofessional behavior towards him and the head coach Damien Marcel, also known as maLek.

What EVY revealed about the Evil Geniuses IGL Stewie?

EVY shared how Stewie didn’t respond to Damien when he wished. “Stewie wouldn’t say hello to Damien when we walked into the room, starting on day 5/6. When Damien spoke, he was turned back to his pc. He wasn’t listening to him,” said the former EG assistant coach.

“Sometimes Stewie would listen to Damien and then turn around, not respond. One of the worst things I’ve seen is denying tactical breaks.” Berbudeau said, “Damien calling tactical breaks and Stewie saying no. I’ve never seen that, and from the first official game. We looked at each other, and we didn’t understand.”

EVY even revealed that they complained about Yip’s behavior to the management. But they heed no ear to the issues. Then one day, the French eSports coach receives messages from fans and friends, informing them about EG showing the way out from the team. Later, the American eSports team further put Damien in an inactive role.

The Evil Geniuses IGL broke the silence on the matter as soon as his former assistant coach’s interview came out about his behavior. The American professional gamer first apologized to the fans and accepted that he was a part of the failure of the EG project.

However, he also stated that he didn’t have any issues with Damien and always talked in a friendly manner with EVY.
