The Souls-like game has garnered a lot of appreciation from the community thanks to its complex gameplay and environmental design. For an indie game to deliver such an impressive game is something truly remarkable. And now, the game has achieved yet another feat that further establishes its reputation.

Lies of P has been included in the Xbox Game Pass since its release. And as a subscription service, players can benefit by spending less to get access to more games. And ideally, this would impact game sales. However, it has still managed to cross an incredible milestone and has garnered praise from its fans.

Lies of P conquers an impressive milestone

All Souls-like titles have their own loyal fan following. FromSoftware has birthed a niche genre that remains one of the most coveted video game styles right now. The genre is reinforced from time to time by FromSoftware itself, which continues to blow away fans with titles like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Bloodborne and Elden Ring. However, for an indie game to match up to reviews with the likes of these games is truly astonishing.

The Lies of P account recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce an impressive feat. Despite being available on Xbox Game Pass, it has sold over 1 million copies worldwide. Compared to some of the best-selling video games like GTA V, this might not seem too large a number, but the fact that it isn’t developed by an industry giant helps to get things in perspective.

The game’s combat design received a lot of appreciation after its release, and it continues to help more fans experience a truly unique storyline. And for what the game has already achieved within a month of its release, fans have been singing praises.

Fans confirm the game’s brilliance on social media

After the news of Lies of P selling 1 million copies was disclosed, fans have come together to rave about the game and its recent feat.

One fan hopes for a dlc and a sequel even. The end of the game does hint at one of the two (no spoilers).
