In the world of Street Fighter, one of the most iconic and popular fighters is Chun-Li. She has been the face of the series for a long time. However, many may not know that there is a dark mirror to the “strongest woman in the world”. Introduced in Street Fighter V, the Korean Tae Kwon Do queen, Juri is the rogue parallel of Chun-Li.

The big bad of the series, M. Bison, is indirectly/directly the cause of most of the backstories in the series’ roster. His nefarious methods are the reason behind most of the street fighter characters took the path of combat. Whether it is to take revenge or to join his evil corporation, M. Bison is the evil catalyst of Street Fighter.

Just like others, Juri’s path was set by the dark hands of M. Bison. Juri Han was only 15 years old when the evil corporation of M. Bison, Shadaloo, kidnapped her family because Juri’s father was trying to prosecute Bison. During this ordeal, Juri lost her parents as well as her left eye. After this, she was set on her path to take revenge and become the street fighter that she is today.
