Florida’s version of the attraction will be based inside Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe. A more compact version of the Nintendo World planned for Hollywood is also under construction.

According to VGC, the smaller Hollywood version will open before the actual theme park. Epic Universe will be a third of its kind, after Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure.

In an interview with CNBC, Brian Roberts, chairperson, and CEO of NBCUniversal from Comcast informed that getting back on full pace may take several months. Comcast is the parent company that owns NBCUniversal. Restaffing the project and reassembling its contractors is the tougher part before the project gets back to the expected pace.

“The restart of construction of Epic Universe is a terrific moment for our employees and for our theme park business in Florida. It is our single-largest investment in the state and represents our enthusiasm for the spectacular park and the economic opportunities it will generate,” he mentioned.
