PlayStation and Xbox are two of the world’s most popular consoles and with their latest generation of products, they are keeping the gamers hooked on some of the biggest releases of 2022. However, not all the players are lucky enough to have a PS5 or even the Xbox Series X|S, due to the ongoing chip shortage problem.

But it seems like the current situation won’t affect the future of the PlayStation and Xbox when it comes to getting a massive update. At least that’s what a recent report from an industry insider suggests, who revealed that a renowned electronics company just announced that both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X|S will get their Pro versions by the next year.

Moreover, the translated text from the website that the scooper shared in his tweet, reveals that TCL also mentioned a bump in specs for the next versions of PS5 and Series X and S. Going by the website’s description, the PS5 Pro and the Xbox will offer gameplay ranging from 6o fps to 120 fps at a resolution of 2160p. Plus, they will enable the users to run the games in 8K as well.

Interestingly, though, several fans weren’t extremely surprised, let alone be happy, to witness this news. Most of them couldn’t believe that this update was even true. Some thought it was fake while others suggested that new versions for the consoles are just not possible to arrive soon. Simply because the current generation itself is facing a supply shortage, so it won’t be possible to make their enhanced versions so soon.
