The Game Awards 2022 has finally bested itself after a blockbuster year. Reports suggested that the event got over 100 million viewership surpassing the viewership of the Oscars and Grammy Awards in 2022. The infamous Oscar incident with Will Smith came second in viewership as compared to another strange moment at the Game Awards.

Geoff Keighley who hosted The Game Awards 2022 gave heart and soul to the most awaited event in the video gaming community. The event did so well that it became a record-setting event.

The personality went on Twitter to share the achievement of TGA 2022 getting a whopping 103 million viewership. This made it the most-watched Game Awards in history. In 2023, TGA would be celebrating its 10th anniversary, a cherry on the cake indeed. While one has to wait to see if history gets written again, a Washington Post reporter brought forward amazing figures regarding similar prestigious events.

Gene Park recently went on Twitter to share the fact that the Oscars in 2022 had got 15.6 million viewership. The Grammy Awards collected 8.93 million viewership and MTV VMA 2022 got 700,000 viewers. Surprisingly, The Game Awards 2022 took the lead with 103 million viewership but that was not it.
