So this time, instead of being in the thick of it, she is enjoying her time on the sidelines. And it’s none other than her close friend Sykkuno, who has some spicy comments on a particular phenomenon in streaming.

Pokimane Reacts to Sykkuno’s hot take on subathons

For the uninitiated, a subathon is an event that was popularised by streamer Ludwig in 2021. Essentially, subathons are really long streams aimed at creating an influx of subscribers. As is clear, the name itself is a combination of the words ‘subscriber’ and ‘marathon’. An important feature of subathons is a ticking clock. Streamers start with a pre-determined time on the clock and once it hits zero, the stream is over.

So what did Sykkuno have to say about this phenomenon? It’s safe to say he’s not the biggest fan of the event. He notes that he’s put off by subathons where streamers do a regular stream and then go to sleep, only to wake up and do a regular stream the next day. Essentially, breaking up one massive subathon into two smaller streams.

This made Pokimane burst out laughing. She found it hilarious that Sykkuno was talking like a viewer who’s not getting his money’s worth instead of a streamer.

“I love this for him. He’s just shading a sh**ton of people but then he’s like I won’t name any names. But also like, high-key I agree!”

However, Sykkuno’s comments regarding playing on a second computer made her ears perk up. Claiming that it sounds like he’s calling out someone specific, Poki said, “Come on Sykkuno, spill the tea.”
