The virtual world might seem free and easy to navigate, but it does come attached to its own laws. Breaching these laws could land you in serious trouble, but the worst thing about it is how little is known about them. Something similar has affected a couple of young Fortnite streamers who simply did not see it coming.

Fortnite streamer SypherPK recently uploaded a video on his platform to educate his audience about such legal issues.

Fortnite streamers should be mindful of these rules

SypherPk has highlighted issues in the video regarding the legalities that everyone must follow. Twitch as a platform works with a set of rules, one of which states that users must be over the age of 13 to create a channel. Fortnite being a kid-friendly game attracts a younger audience, and this is where the problems arise.

In the video, the streamer highlighted a couple instances with Fortnite streamers who made this mistake. It included his younger brother and AverageHarry who had made their respective Twitch accounts at the age of 12. Twitch discarded both channels permanently and now the two streamers may need to start again.

If you have an account that was made under the age of 12, then you need to make a brand new one. The rules of the streaming platform would compel Twitch to remove your account later on, so ensure you plug this hole now itself.

JuniorPK saw his account getting removed because of this same issue when he applied for partnership. Luckily, he had Sypher to help him out of his situation. Unfortunately, not everyone in the community is going to be lucky enough to have a sibling like SypherPK. So this could become a major problem for aspiring streamers under the age of 13 who are just starting out in the business of streaming.

Young professionals should avoid keeping all their eggs in one basket, as it could hurt them in the future. Social media presence across every platform could prove vital for them in retaining their audience. If in case something unfortunate happens, streamers can then revert to social media spaces like YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram as back ups.
